![]() As I recall the palm trees in Crysis are in some way, realistically rooted into the ground and can be swayed by explosions whereas in Far Cry 2 anything larger a seedling is entirely static. Far Cry 2's Dunia engine derives from Crysis' Cryengine (which evolved from the original Far Cry) - individual tree branches can be cut off and the sun shafts casting through leaves seem to have the same appearance, but I don't think that the interactivity was on the same level.
